Roger Daltrey, the iconic lead singer of The Who, will perform The Who’s legendary rock opera 'Tommy' from start to finish at selected shows throughout the UK this summer. Daltrey recently premiered 'Tommy' from start to finish at The Royal Albert Hall in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust on March 25th. Roger is now taking it on the road, beyond the majesty of 'Tommy', each night music fans will also be treated to a variety of Who Classics and more.

Manchester Orchestra come on as Weezer’s Buddy Holly gets turned down, however that doesn’t stop Andy Hull from leading a rousing rendition through the chorus before the band, neither an orchestra or from Manchester, launch into ‘Pride’. A suitable opener for tonight’s show in the Camden Stables as part of ‘Breakout’, Camden Proud’s band night. The song slowly builds up into a fury, and the crowd go with it, many of them shouting every word.

Manchester alt-country quintet The Travelling Band are to release their second album ‘Screaming is Something’ on 30th May. The album will be preceded by a single ‘Fairweather Friends’ on 23rd May and is the follow-up to their 2008 debut ‘Under the Pavement’. The single will be available to download through the band’s website. The Travelling Band will also be on tour throughout May and June to coincide with the album’s release. After receiving thousands of Tweets on its official Twitter feed from fans around the world asking the band to express its support for earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan, My Chemical Romance responded by recording the song '#SINGItForJapan,' which was released exclusively via iTunes on April 13th. The band and Warner Bros. Records have been donating the proceeds from the song’s sales to the American Red Cross in support of its relief efforts in Japan.
